Before we take actions, we start by reflecting.
This is not a checklist or audit. Its a relational journey rooted in listening, witnessing, and reflecting. It creates space for dialogue, connection, and self-assessment, so that any future work is grounded in humility, relationship, and values. This service also helps us to listen, observe, and learn about your organization and it's existing culture so that all future services can be better grounded in good practice.
The Pathway with Purpose is a four-part process that includes:
Listening & Learning
We start by understand your organization's culture, values, and current relationship with Indigenous Peoples and data. This includes a review of past and present efforts, power dynamics, and the ways your systems may unknowingly reinforce colonial practices. We honour the opportunity to walk with you through this learning.
Observing
We examine your current workflows, data practices, partnerships, and policies through a reconciliation lens. This may include reviewing agreements/policies/protocols involving Indigenous data, privacy approaches, and how consultation and engagement are currently practiced. We help you see what's working - and what may need to shift.
Facilitated Conversations
We facilitate conversations across departments and leadership levels to surface honest reflections and identify shared and divergent understandings of your organization's role in reconciliation. Additionally, we facilitate discussions with any Indigenous partnerships you have to understand the community perspective of those relationships. These conversations are key to building internal alignment and preparing for lasting change.
Reflections & Report
We compile everything into a thoughtful, strengths-based summary and readiness scan. The final report includes:
All work product we deliver will work to showcase Indigenous artisans - in partnership with your socials, we put out a call out for artwork that can be included in your reports!
