Savion is the tech-savvy, community-driven co-founder of Wabusk Data Solutions and an IT and cybersecurity navigator with a passion for empowering Indigenous communities through technology. A proud member of Fort Albany First Nation, Savion’s journey has taken him from business management and customer service leadership roles to becoming a computer technician, self-taught coder, ethical hacker, and now working towards an advanced-diploma in Computer Programming and Analysis. His interests include everything from cybersecurity threat assessments to building digital infrastructure that actually works for Indigenous communities. Beyond tech, Savion is all about reclaiming his culture and language, giving back to his community by serving as a town councilor. Whether he’s out on the land reconnecting with his roots or developing new ways to protect digital spaces, Savion believes in actively building the future he wants for his people — one project, one line of code, and one community conversation at a time.
Chelsea is a passionate privacy and Indigenous data governance navigator, and the co-founder of Wabusk Data Solutions. Chelsea is a settler of European ancestry working daily to be an active ally. With a background in social sciences and a special focus on children and families, Chelsea made the leap into the privacy world as a lead within the Indigenous child and family wellbeing sector — and she’s never looked back. Along the way, she’s picked up some pretty cool honours, like being part of the 2024 PICASSO Canada Privacy Team of the Year and earning the Rising Star in Privacy Award. Chelsea is also a member of CONSYLIUM's AI Advisory Board. Chelsea loves bringing Indigenous perspectives into conversations about privacy and data, creating innovative tools like privacy impact assessments rooted in Indigenous values and community-led governance. As someone who works alongside and within Indigenous communities, Chelsea is committed to meaningful advocacy and relationship-building, always approaching her work with creativity, humility, and a drive to amplify Indigenous rights. Outside of work, she’s happiest when spending time with her family and raising a daughter who is proud of her First Nations identity and heritage.
At Wabusk Data Solutions, we believe that children learn most deeply by watching how we engage with the world. In the spirit of traditional parenting, where children were included in the daily life and governance of the community, we center our children not just as observers, but as active participants and inspiration in our work. Their curiosity, voices, and connection to culture remind us of our responsibilities and possibilities. By walking this path together, we hope to empower them to shape a future rooted in identity, sovereignty, and care for community. We honour them as founders of Wabusk Data Solutions in their own right.
